Bennett, Esq, Editor of  the New York Herald", carried outside the mails from Southbridge, Massachusetts where this letter originated, very fine, fewer than six recorded examples of Boyd's free delivery to the press (a policy Boyd had in place from the beginning), all from the spring of 1845
