backstamp on cover franked with 1861 1c Blue and 3c Rose (63, 65), postmarked "Philadelphia August 13, 1862", originally addressed to Niagara Falls, New York where it was marked “3c Forwarded” and returned to Philadelphia, the Carrier Department attempted redelivery to the sender at Sterling Avenue but could not locate him at that address (“Not at Sterling”), black “Advertised” in oval before eventual delivery to a new address (“127 S. 4th St”), very fine and interesting cover
