bold strike on 1861 3c Rose (65, natural straightedge at left and light diagonal crease at upper left), matching "Waterbury Ct. Apr 5" datestamp alongside, on amber cover to Watertown, Connecticut, very fine, the unpublished Crowe census records only this one cover with this cancellation, very few Waterbury cancellations are unique which makes this, in our opinion, one of the most desirable of all of Postmaster John Hill's designs, illustrated in Rohloff page 16, signed Dr. Glenn E. Jackson and 2022 William T. Crowe certificate
