three postal cards, first "Cross over Orb" perfin on large-sized card which has been reduced, dated November 3, 1870, second "Orb over Cross" perfin on small-sized card dated November 9, 1870 (small faults), last "Orb over Cross" perfin on February 2, 1872 postal card, all very fine appearance, a Post Office circular dated October 10, 1870 stated that "the postage stamps on some postal cards will be obliterated by means of a punch instead of the ordinary obliterating stamp", examples of this experimental perfin are extremely rare with very few examples recorded
