large margins including framelines at top and bottom, tied by black cork, black "Boyd's City Express Post Jan 23 9" oval handstamp and matching "Paid J.T.B." on 1851 cover to local address, very fine, stamp clearly shows arc through eagle's torso which was not completely erased from a previous entry, a desirable on-cover example of this variety
