large margins, tied by black "Paid J.T.B." handstamp to August 1860 issue of the American Medical Gazette (front cover only), second strike alongside and matching "Boyd's City Express" oval, light wear, very fine and attractive use, this stamp was in use only three months, this journal demonstrates that during 1860 Boyd's had reduced rates for periodicals as well as letters
announcing the reopening of Boyd's on December 24, 1860 under the ownership of the Blackhams, includes a table of delivery times and list of rates, vertical crease, very fine and rare, a wonderful piece of collateral material, illustrated in Abt's series about Boyd's, ex-Hale
