mostly clear red oval handstamp on April 2, 1845 folded letter from Troy to New York City, manuscript "Collect 6¼" rate, red boxed "Collect Six Cents for Hale & Co." handstamp, turned over to Boyd's for delivery in New York with red "Boyd's City Express Post Apr 3 9o'c" oval handstamp, extremely fine triple conjunctive use, Boyd's service is much more frequently seen on Pomeroy's covers than Hale & Co.
