approximately 99 items in a binder, all with various "Specimen" or "Cancelled" overprints, ranging from about U58 to U390 with denominations to the 90c, plus a few official envelopes, dealers' prices to about $65 with many in the $10-20 range, some toning and faults to be expected but fine overall, an interesting specialized group
in Scott album, begins with small selection of Nesbitt issues, denominations to the 40c in the 1860s, also includes airpost envelopes, officials, and aerogrammes, no great rarities but a nice solid starter collection, generally fine to very fine
forerunner to the Grant letter card, franked with 3c Green tied by "Aldenn Ioa. Mar 2" datestamp, addressed to Ames, Iowa, patent information inside and folding information on back flap (reattached with hinges), very fine, extremely scarce to find used, an exceptional postal stationery forerunner
