one of the most wide-ranging and interesting binders we have ever handled, includes early airmail covers from Belgium, France, and Switzerland, 1937 Tannu Tuva cover, Somali Coast 25 on cover, 1936 Tin Can mail cover, Denmark booklet panes on cover with advertising labels, Russia 1919 Army of the North set on cover, Germany 1923 Halle local post labels on registered cover, German Kiautschou 10pf on postal card with Chinese Imperial Post issues, Germany Offices in China ½d on 3m on registered cover, France 1937 PEXIP sheet (stamps only) on postal card (plus mint sheet), Iceland 1931 Zeppelin set mint and on cover, several Germany Rhein-Main flight cards, Germany Zeppelin flight covers including 1m-4m, Polar Flight 1m-4m, South America Flight 2m-4m, and Chicago Flight 2m-4m, German Offices in Morocco and China on cover, and more, generally fine to very fine, this binder represents covers which Bill Robinson found interesting over the course of his life and would be very nearly impossible to duplicate, a close inspection is necessary as nearly every item here is worthwhile
begins with 9X1, 1 (4), 2, small group of 1851 1c/3c, 17 (2), 37, 38 (2), 70 (4), 71 (3), 72 (2), Black Jacks with fancy cancellations including shield, nice grilled issues, 1869s complete to the 90c, and a very strong selection of Bank Notes to the 90c values including several pages of colored/fancy cancellations, some dubious cancellations and reperforated stamps to be expected but generally fine to very fine, this collection represents a lifetime of work and is worth a close inspection
begins with Columbians to the $4 ($2 and $4 unused, balance used) plus a complete set of card proofs, First Bureau to the $5, Trans-Mississippi complete less the $1, 1902 Issue to the $2 (including $2 block of four), Washington-Franklins and early 20th Century commemoratives well-represented, and largely complete through the 1920s and 1930s including White Plains souvenir sheet, generally fine to very fine, a comprehensive and useful assortment
begins with a selection of card proofs (1851/90), continues (all used unless otherwise noted) with airmails including C1-6 blocks (C3 precanceled), two sets of C13-15, C18 plate block, special delivery and postage dues, Shanghai overprints mint complete plus duplicates to the $2, parcel post complete, better CSA and carriers and locals, Guam overprints mint complete (less the $1 Type II), Philippines overprints mint to the $1, second volume with officials and newspapers (the usual facsimiles but plenty of better items throughout), some faults to be expected but generally fine to very fine, an excellent collection representing a lifetime of work
