dateline on 1c Postal card (UX5) addressed to Chicago, two pen strokes cancelling the card, blue "Chicago Ill Carrier 6AM Nov 12" datestamp, very fine, the first recorded handstamp from Rogers Park is from 1882, making this likely the earliest recorded cover from the office

two strikes of pink pointing hand on July 28, 1893 cover from Warren, Massachusetts to Windsor Park, franked with 2c Columbian, purple three-line "Received, Jul 31 1893, Hotel Endeavor" handstamp, manuscript "Not here", backstamped Chicago August 8 and Warren August 10, fine and in all likelihood unique 

approximately 150 covers and cards including postmarks from: Auburn Park, Austin, Bowmanville, Central Park, Cheltenham, Congress Park, Dunning, Edison, Englewood, Fernwood, Factoryville, Grand Crossing, Grant Works, Humboldt Park, Hyde Park, Irving Park, Jefferson (including two manuscript postmarks), Maplewood, Mont Clare, Moreland, Morgan Park, Normalville, Norwood Park, Orchard Place, Pullman, Ravenswood, Riverdale, Rogers Park, South Chicago, South Evanston, Summit, Washington Heights, West Pullman, Willow Springs, Windsor Park (including 1893 Hotel Endeavor cover and enclosure), and Wrights Grove, somewhat mixed condition can be excused when considering how rare and short-lived some of these postmarks are, we recommend reviewing this lot with a copy of Karlen's Chicago's Crabgrass Communities to fully appreciate the scarcity of this material
