three folded letters sent from Albany, New York, 1790-1794, all carried via the Van Wyck stage line, one sent as free mail to representative Henry Glen, all very fine with mild wear New York State granted the Van Wyck Stage Line a 10-year monopoly on mail carriage within New York state in 1785, this monopoly continued when the privately operated Albany Post Office became part of the federal system under the constitution, these letters were carried under the period of monopoly
