two folded letters from New York City to Lyon, France, first with "New York 3 Nov 7" 1860 datestamp, blue "By Str. Asia" handstamp and "8" French due marking; second with "New York 18 May 9" 1863 datestamp, blue "By Str. New York" handstamp and "16" French due marking, both with appropriate transits, very fine pair, these handstamps were prepared by W. Schall & Co.
