    9a, 1857 7½d Deep green, combined with 3d Red on soft ribbed paper (Scott 4c) tied on registered envelope addressed to London by 4-ring "1" cancel, adjacent "Barrie U.C. 11 FEB 1858 cds, straight line and crowned "REGISTERED" markings, ms "6" (due), backstamped Toronto, London (2 different MR 1 cds); 3d faint pre-use crease and three large margins, 7½d large margins incl portion of imprint at left, envelope small pin hole at lower right; a rare and very attractive transatlantic registered letter carried by Cunard Line "Arabia", only three franked registered covers are known carried by Cunard Packets to England, this one being ½d over-paid for postage with 6d registration fee collected upon delivery; ex-Dale-Lichtenstein, Hillmer, KL, Carrington, Wilkinson, Hackmey, illustrated in Arfken, Leggett, Firby & Steinhart (p 249) and Canadian Posted Letter Guide (p 29); 1995 BPA certificate
