    "ÉLÉMENS DE LA TAXE" Label on 1830 Cover from England to Switzerland,  folded letter from The Royal Hospital at Chelsea and addressed to a pensioned soldire in Bern Switzerland, cover with red "FREE/ 8 NO 8 1830" crowned circle postmark, various rating markings with label attached since French system did not recognize the English "free frank" and the cover was levied charges of "1fr50c" reimbursement to the office at Bern and "20c" for French rate from border office to destination, label with boxed "Suisse Par Delle" handstamp, a bit of expected postal wear, a Fine and rare showpiece; these labels were created to deal with public concerns about proper calculation of charges by postmen; first issued by France, they were soon emulated in other countries.
