Connecticut Postal History, 1861-66 Issue
magenta datestamp on cover to Kanagawa, Japan, endorsed "Care of Messrs. Olyphant & Co., Hong Kong, China", franked with 1861 5c Buff, 10c Green, and 30c Orange (67, 68, 71) each with matching grid, red "New York Paid Jul 26" exchange handstamp, carried aboard Cunard's Persia to Southampton, August 8 London transit and by British packet to Hong Kong where it was backstamped October 6, certificate mentions 5c perforation faults and 10c and 30c each with a short perforation which are of little consequence to the overall beautiful appearance of this cover, very fine three color franking with the 5c Buff, ex-Ishikawa, 2018 Philatelic Foundation certificate
