vertical pair with "Canal Zone" overprint in bottom margin, tied by indistinct January 7, 1919 duplexes to locally-addressed Coveleski cover, very fine and unique on cover, this error was taken from the bottom row of the sheet that had the overprint omitted on the top row (38a) and as such only 10 examples exist
single used alongside normal 1912 2c Vermilion & black (39) and 1915 10c Orange & black (45) on March 5, 1916 registered cover from Ancon to Detroit, Michigan, backstamped Ancon and Cristobal, very fine and extremely rare on cover
horizontal pair from the second printing tied by April 10, 1922 machine cancel to cover to Ferrars H. Tows in New York City, very fine and rare, 1992 Philatelic Foundation certificate (Scott $500 for 1915 printing pair on cover)
