Our January 2023 sales include the "Erivan" Collection of United and Confederate States Postal History Part VIII, as well as a general sale of United States and worldwide stamps, covers, and collections.
several hundred on old-time typed album pages, begins with United States provisionals followed by Confederate general issues (some genuine stamps) and provisionals, the largest section by far is carriers and locals neatly arranged by company, ranging from crude imitations to somewhat decently-produced forgeries (plus some fantasies of stamps that never existed), an esoteric collection that could prove very rewarding for the dedicated student of fakes and fantasies, viewing highly recommended
includes 20L3 tied on cover (faults), 20L4 to-the-mails use, 20L12 tied on cover, 20L18 on cover with US 1857 3c, and 1853 staples cover with illustrated enclosure for "Wm. Gale & Son Sterling Silver-ware", generally fine and interesting
